I was born in the Philippines and earned my degree in Nursing in 1969. I immigrated to the United States in 1974, arriving with my husband who was in the Navy. While in Maryland, I worked as an operating room nurse and then an emergency room nurse.

My husband, son and I arrived in San Diego in 1984 and I started my career as a Director of Nursing in long term care. I have worked at Monte Vista Village since 1999. Monte Vista is such a special skilled nursing because we are small, which allows our residents, families and staff to all develop a special bond.
